Background and Discussion:
The tornado event damaged 122 homes in unincorporated Harris County. The Permits Fee Schedule effective October 1, 2025, requires permits fees totaling $4,343.00 to cover the costs of issuing repair permits for these structures.

Expected Impact:
This is a request to waive the fees which does not affect the current budget. As an unforeseen natural disaster, this fee amount was not used to for revenue estimates.

Alternative Options:
Should Commissioners' Court elect not approve this fee waiver, the residents would be charge permitting fees for the repair permits to restore their homes.
