Request by the Office of County Administration for an Executive Session for discussion and appointment of Michael Ereti, a nominee from the Commissioner of Precinct 1, to the Board of Directors of Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone No. 03 (Main Street/Market Square TIRZ) for a term beginning January 1, 2026, and ending December 31, 2027.

Background and Discussion:
TIRZ 3 was created in 1995 to promote new investment, general welfare, employment, and economic development in the zone using designated tax increments. The Board of Directors is actively engaged in the implementation of the Project Plan, the development of a financing plan, and in the design and implementation of a redevelopment policy for the area. Since TIRZ 3 is largely within the boundaries of Precinct 1, the commissioner of the precinct may nominate someone for the position as provided in the adopted Boards and Commissions Uniform Board Policies and Procedures, Section 8, D. Appointment Process. Members serving on odd-numbered seats on the board serve terms expiring December 31st of odd-number years.
Expected Impact:
Appointment of an expiring position previously nominated by Precinct 1, which will enable continuity of operations and leadership on the board.
