Background and Discussion:
The project is located in northwest Harris County, north of Sam Houston Tollway, south of FM 1960, and east of SH 249. The project area consists of residential homes, elementary school, and industrial warehouses. Existing Bourgeois Road is a two-lane undivided asphalt roadway with drainage ditches on both sides. The proposed improvements will add raised medians and turn lanes with a curb and gutter pavement section. Sidewalks are proposed on both sides of the roadway. Project was redistricted from Precinct 4 to Precinct 1.

Expected Impact:
The acquisitions will make the proposed roadway/sidewalk/drainage improvements to meet the design requirements and that is safe for the public.

Alternative Options:
Without the necessary acquisitions, the road/drainage/sidewalk improvements will not be feasible.
