Background and Discussion:

The FY27 Operating and Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Budget Calendars are documents developed by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to assist departments and Court offices with planning for the upcoming fiscal year. As in past years, this year's CIP program will not include precinct-voted debt projects, but will include projects from other County departments. This year's CIP will include the Harris County Flood Control District and the Harris County Toll Road Authority to provide a fuller picture of the County's CIP.

Based on Commissioners Court feedback, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) will revise the FY27 Budget Calendars and bring them back to Court for approval at a later date.

Expected Impact:

OMB believes that this early transmittal of the budget calendars will help departments and Commissioners Court offices plan their schedules around budgetary events for the upcoming year.
