Background and Discussion:
Preparation for Adult Living provides services to youth transitioning out from foster care. PAL 206 is
dedicated to Case Management and PAL Aftercare. This grant was awarded and accepted at the 10/16 Commissioner's Court (Agenda Item #289), but the program has requested that the budget narrative, which was not included with the original submission, to be included with the packet
Expected Impact:
Current and former foster youth enrolled in Preparation for Adult Living (PAL) services through the HAY Center
will receive intensive case management that will aid in their transition to adulthood. Case management
services include assistance with housing, employment, education, mentorship, transportation, and other basic
needs.
