Background and Discussion:
Heavy truck traffic and street conditions negatively impact safe access to the Casa de Amigos Health Center from the parking lot north of Harrington St., particularly for mobility challenged patients. The City of Houston requires an easement to facilitate the Harrington abandonment process. This will help provide safer transit from the parking lot to the Health Center.

Expected Impact:
The abandonment of Harrington St. will facilitate safer transit from the parking lot to the Health Center for patients and staff and facilitate permitting of proposed expansions.

Alternative Options:
No viable alternatives have been identified.
