Background and Discussion:
The commission serves in an advisory capacity and makes recommendations to the Court to improve economic, social, health, and safety outcomes for AAPI residents of Harris County. The bylaws establish a commission consisting of 9 court-appointed positions, including 5 assigned positions (1 per court office), and 4 at-large positions appointed by a majority vote of the Court.
