Background and Discussion:
This project includes the construction of four 11-foot-wide concrete pavements with a 24-foot median, and an 8-foot-wide sidewalk along both sides West Gulf Bank Road from Interstate 45 Freeway to Airline Drive. It also includes drainage improvements.
This change includes the following:
- A review of conduit sizing at the proposed traffic signal intersections (Sweetwater, Cobbleshire, and Airline) was conducted based on the number of signal cables listed in the Electrical Chart. The Engineer of Record determined that Sweetwater Run 24 does not have sufficient capacity for the required cables. It is recommended to revise this run from a 3-inch conduit to a 4-inch conduit to accommodate the cable volume.
