Background and Discussion:
Following an audit in 2023, the Flood Control District has worked closely with both the County Auditor's Office and the County Attorney's Office to develop and implement new professional services procurement policies. This deliberate and collaborative process was essential to developing new processes and procedures that were consistent and aligned with Commissioners Court directives and applicable state statues. This transmittal represents the most current version of the Flood Control District's professional service procurement policy, effective October 2025. The May 2025 version of the policy is superseded by the October version, and therefore not included in this transmittal, but the document is available upon request as needed. The Flood Control District will continue to review the policy periodically to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
