Background and Discussion:
Interest in Oil and Grease analysis has increased. The need for it has reached the citizens of Harris County, especially through the Constable's offices and the Stormwater program, as they tackle junkyards, run off, and the impact on the health of our citizens and the environment.
Expected Impact:
It will increase the lab's capabilities to analyze water samples for Oil and Grease. There will be no need to subcontract this analysis to commercial labs. It is fiscally responsible to bring the analysis in-house.

Keep on subcontracting the samples out, which will negatively impact on the laboratory's budget.
