Background and Discussion:
Commissioner's Court approved an allocation of ARPA funding to The CAC on September 13,2022 which includes four positions. Two Training Specialist positions were subsequently approved on October 25,2022, and two Clinician positions were subsequently approved on November 15, 2022. These positions were both approved until December 31,2024 and then subsequently approved by the ARPA Steering Team to extend these positions to October 31, 2025. We are requesting funding be moved to the General Fund.
Single-session clinical assessment and training will support the mental health of children who have experienced abuse and their families. Training resources will be used to train Harris County school students, teachers and administrators.
