Background and Discussion:
This request is for approval to update the fund code for two (2) Intern TP positions to Library Specialists I, transitioning them from the Gift Fund (Fund 2203) to the General Fund (Fund 1000). This realignment will support the creation of two (2) Library Specialists I positions within the Programs Partnership and Outreach Division.

The reallocation of the Library Specialists I positions to the General Fund allows for the commitment to the Carnegie Corporation of New York grant funds and support to our ESL and College Readiness Programs.

Expected Impact:
The total cost for the two (2) positions will be covered with funding from the Carnegie Corporation of New York Fund.

Alternative Options:
We could not apply for this grant without the labor positions to support the expanded service delivery of ESL and College Readiness Programs.
