Background and Discussion:
During the Texas 89th Legislative Session, the State of Texas raised the monetary threshold for informal procurements from $50,000 to $100,000 under Texas Senate Bill 1173. Effective October 1, 2025, Harris County will expand its informal procurement threshold to $100,000 and implement the new quote requirements for requests below this threshold:
