Background and Discussion:
In compliance with the Court Order issued on June 17, 2025, in the case of Harris County, Texas et al vs. Kennedy, Notices of Award (NOAs) issued to the plaintiff jurisdictions on or after March 24, 2025, that instructed termination of certain COVID-19 funding and ceasing of activities under this award for reasons related to the end of the COVID-19 pandemic are officially rescinded. Activities and funding under this award (CDC CHW Grant Award # NU58DP006986 Community Health Workers for Public Health Response and Resilient) are no longer terminated. The CDC has sent a new NOA and the performance period under this award has also been extended from August 30, 2025 to September 22, 2025.

Expected Impact:
This will allow HCPH to continue utilizing funding that was part of this grant award through September 22, 2025 instead of August 30, 2025.
