Request for approval to execute an affiliation agreement between East Texas A&M University, a member of The Texas A&M University System, and Harris County Precinct 4 for an internship program that provides supervised field experience throughout Precinct 4 at no cost to the county, for a term ending June 17, 2026.

Background and Discussion:
Harris County Precinct 4 will partner with East Texas A&M University to offer Social Work students practicum education experiences as interns in Precinct 4's Social Services department. Under the guidance of the Director of Social Services, interns will provide quality social work services and resources to Harris County residents as social work navigators. There is no cost to the county.
Expected Impact: The county will benefit from the services provided by the student interns and in turn will provide professional development and training to the students.
