Request by the Office of County Administration for an Executive Session for discussion and appointment of Akilah Mance and Toi Babineaux, nominees from the Commissioner of Precinct 4, to the Harris County Resources for Children and Adults Board of Directors, for terms beginning November 1, 2025, and ending November 1, 2028.

Background and Discussion:
The Board is responsible for the protective services program for the children and adults of Harris County as set forth in the March 2002 Agreement between Harris County Commissioners Court and the Texas Department of Human Services, now the Department of Family and Protective Services, and any succeeding agreements and applicable statutes; and (b) administratively responsible for the operation of the Harris County Guardianship Program.
Expected Impact:
Appointments to expired positions assigned to and previously appointed by Precinct 4, which will enable continuity of operations and leadership on the board. The appointment terms will be effective November 1, upon the completion of the outgoing members' duties as Chair and Vice Chair of the board, which will allow for continuity planning during the transition and mitigate impact to board operations.
