Background and Discussion:
The Harris County Fire Marshal's Office and the Office of the County Engineer worked with a third-party contractor (Ernst & Young) to assess the cost for administration of the County's fire code. Based on the recommendations from the contractor, discussion and approval from key stakeholders. HCFMO is requesting approval from Commissioners Court on the proposed fee schedule to be approved by Court with implementation date of October 1, 2025 and for fees connected to the OCE upon the Court's approval of OCE's proposed fee schedule.
