Background and Discussion:
The position extensions will allow dental services to continue to be provided to children and adolescents who are uninsured. The dental services provided allow children and adolescents to receive comprehensive dental care at no cost or at a minimal cost to families who meet the income guidelines.

Expected Impact:
This program supports provision of oral health services to underserved communities in addition to the promotion of oral health as a part of overall health. Without these funds, many of the recipients served by this grant would not have access to dental care. The funds will be used to pay salaries and fringe expenses.
