Background and Discussion:
In Jan 2025, the Veterans Service Department had one staff member called away for active Texas National Guard duty. This position was grant funded. During the time this staff member was on active duty, the grant funded position was refilled with a new hire so we could continue to perform as expected, fully staffed, on this grant. The staff member will be discharged from active duty in late August 2025, and by law, is to be placed back into a comparable position.
Expected Impact:
To return a valued staff member upon discharge from active duty.
