Background and Discussion:
The HAY Center is a three-story 50-unit building for youth aging out of foster care with community space, kitchen, a small gym, a business center, and private study rooms. On-site, there will be wrap-around services, huddle/meeting rooms, a computer lab, life skills training rooms, and administrative offices. The $39 million project includes Community Development Block Grant funding from both the County and the City of Houston, along with $5 million of Harris County's allocation from the American Rescue Plan.
