Background and Discussion:
The District Attorney's Office engaged the services of Government Affairs Professionals of Texas to assist in the new administration's transition into office and to engage offices at the local and state legislative levels. The agreement was from January 17, 2025, to May 31, 2025. Additional services were requested of the contractor in June 2025. Since the contract had expired, a settlement agreement was the path recommended by the County Attorney's Office to compensate the contractor for the services rendered; CAO File No. 25GEN2028.
