Background and Discussion:
To ensure compliance with the Truth-in-Taxation provisions of the Texas Property Tax Code Sec. 26.04 (c), this is a request that Commissioners Court designate the Tax Assessor-Collector as the official to calculate the No-New-Revenue Tax Rate and the Voter-Approval Tax Rate and to publish required notices for Harris County, Harris County Flood Control District, Harris County Port of Houston Authority and Harris County Hospital District, dba Harris Health System. The Tax Assessor-Collector's office will coordinate this activity with the County Auditor's Office and the Office of Management and Budget.
