Background and Discussion:
On August 7, 2025, Commissioners Court approved the Request to Advertise for construction bids for the implementation of the Grand Parkway Frontage Road Extension between Cumberland Ridge Drive and Schiel Road project. Construction Materials Testing (CMT) and Geotechnical Engineering services are needed to complete this implementation.
On April 26, 2022, Commissioners Court approved the execution of the amended Interlocal Agreement (ILA) with Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and the Grand Parkway Transportation Corporation (GPTC). The executed ILA with TxDOT and GPTC establishes roles and responsibilities for the design, construction, and maintenance of the frontage roads. Per the terms of the ILA, HCTRA will design and construct the extension of the frontage roads, and TxDOT will review and approve design plans, as well as maintain the constructed frontage roads.
