Background and Discussion:
The District Attorney's Office participates in operations where law enforcement seizes assets that are used in the commission criminal activity. Cash seized by law enforcement is deposited in a bank. The DAO holds fiduciary responsibility for the seized funds. Cadence has handled the banking operations for many years. A new RFP is being developed for future banking needs. Katrina King-Michalk with Blackhawk Treasury Consulting has assisted DAO and is continuing to assist DAO to ensure the best outcome with the new banking vendor.
