Background and Discussion:
On September 19, 2024 Commissioners Court approved the execution of a Stop Gap Agreement with Zions Bancoporation, N.A. dba Amegy Bank (Amegy). As a previous banking service provider to Harris County and HCTRA, Amegy Bank was previously identified as a viable option to meet necessary requirements for the Toll Road Authority as the agency continues to coordinate with OMB and J.P. Morgan Chase for transition of banking services to J.P. Morgan Chase. With the existing banking contract with Cadence set to expire July 31, 2025, there is an urgent need to secure banking services for the agency prior to expiration to ensure no lapse in operations for the agency.
