Request by the Sheriff's Office that the County Judge execute an agreement to participate in the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) Houston/South Texas Strike Force (HSTSF).

Background and Discussion:
Pursuant to the OCDETF Program Guidelines, the mission of the OCDETF, HSTSF is to disrupt and dismantle the drug trafficking organizations headed by designated Consolidated Priority Targets (CPOTs), Regional Priority Organization Targets (RPOTs), and their affiliates that impact Houston and south Texas. This initiative provides for establishment of permanent multi-agency teams that work side-by-side in the same office space where they work together on intelligence-driven, multi-jurisdictional operations against a continuum of priority targets.
Expected Impact:
The OCDETF, HSTSF law enforcement members have missions unique to their agency skill set which complement the overall mission of the Strike Force.
