Background and Discussion:
The project includes the construction of approximately 0.73 mile long, 8' wide Hike and Bike Trail with Concrete. The project limits are from East X St at Battleground Road to East P Street. The proposed sidewalk is running parallel in the existing Texas Eastern Transmission Pipeline 50' wide Easement also Crossing at E San Augustine St. Enbridge has Agreed for the Proposed Harris County Trail and has provided with a Crossing and Encroachment Consent.
Expected Impact:
This action allows the continuation of the proposed work and provides bikers a continues trail from East X St at Battleground Road to East P Street.
Alternative Options:
If no action is taken, the project may experience construction delays, there will be a trail gap at the utility easement, and the intended objective will not be achieved.
