Background and Discussion:
The MOU is a response to a request for Harris County resources for an upcoming scheduled event in Galveston County from May 16 - 18, 2025.
Galveston County holds an annual event, Jeep Weekend, at the beach locations in Galveston. Due to previous incidents at this event in previous years, Galveston County has requested additional public safety resources from regional partners in an effort to curtail potential incidents and create a safer atmosphere for all involved.
Expected Impact:
The sharing of resources will strengthen the partnership with regional partners as well as create a safer environment for all involved in this event, which will include citizens of Harris County who attend this annual festival.
