Background and Discussion:
To enhance supervisory oversight within the Telecommunications division, we are implementing a tiered structure mirroring that of Detentions. This will include licensed Telecommunicators serving as Communications Officers, Supervisors, and a Commander. The ranks will correspond to Detention Officers, Sergeants, and Lieutenants, respectively. The Communications Commander's pay will be equivalent to that of a Detention Lieutenant, which is lower than that of a Peace Officer Lieutenant.
Expected Impact:
The purpose of this rank is to eliminate the need to have Peace Officer Lieutenants assigned to EDC supervising Telecommunicators.
