Request for presentation to provide an update to the Harris County Enterprise Technology Asset Management Program.

Background and Discussion:
Harris County Universal Services (HCUS) identified a gap in County's technology asset management in the year 2023. This gap was confirmed through the 5 year financial plan analysis. With approval of Commissioner Court on December 10, 2024, and in partnership with Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and Office of Management and Budget (OMB), HCUS is developing an Enterprise Technology Asset Management Program (ETAM). The presentation is expected to provide an overview of the findings on the two pilots: computer standardization and software license optimization MS Office 365.
Expected Impact:
The presentation will provide an overview of the cost savings and risk mitigation strategy for technology management at the County.
