Background and Discussion:
Harris County Public Health, Community Health and Violence Prevention Services (CHVPS) Division uses public
health approaches to prevent and disrupt violence in Harris County. CHVPS was established with goals to prevent violence and improve the health, wellbeing, and self-sufficiency of Harris County community members. RISE was provided with $500k in additional funding as part of the FY25 budget for expansion.

Expected Impact:
These positions will support the community spaces established by CHVPS in the Cypress Station and Sunnyside neighborhoods. Having full-time staff present at the community spaces will aid in the program's presence and strengthen relationships to better assist the community.
