Background and Discussion:
Harris County Resources for Children and Adults' Finance and Business Services Division provides financial services to support HCRCA divisions that provide services for children, at-risk teens, families, current and former foster youth and vulnerable adults including seniors. The additional accounting staff member will support HCRCA/FABS financial services.
Expected Impact:
There will be an increase in expenses by approximately $35,005 in salary and benefits for the remainder of FY25 (calculated at 11 pay periods), which will be covered by the existing budget, and an annualized cost of roughly $82,739.
Alternative Options: The accounting functions of the Financial and Business Services Division are critical to the overall operational needs of the department. There are no alternative options to this position.
