Background and Discussion:
The purpose of the Project Liberty Program is to establish a comprehensive, long term residential treatment program (6-9 months) specifically designed for adolescent females facing mental health challenges, trauma, and behavioral disorders. This program will provide a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment that supports the emotional, psychological, and behavioral healing of these young individuals. Through individualized care, trauma-informed therapies, education and life skills development, the program aims to promote lasting recovery, enhance self-esteem, and empower these adolescents to build healthier futures, thereby diverting their commitment to TJJD.

Expected Impact:
The objective is to reduce the long-term negative outcomes associated with untreated mental health and behavioral issues and improve long-term outcomes for adolescent females in the juvenile justice system. This will be accomplished by offering a holistic, sustainable treatment option that addresses the unique needs of adolescent females.
