Background and Discussion:
The Project consists of the study, design, and construction of modification to Lockwood Drive at Buffalo Bayou. The Project includes the extension of Foley St., creation of 'C St.' (Name TBD), underpass parking, and extension of trails that connect to the Lina Hidalgo Park Trail system.
Expected Impact:
This agreement will allow the firm to conduct field and laboratory testing on soil, concrete, asphalt and various other construction materials to ensure the material's compliance with Harris County Engineering Department's adopted standards and specifications as required by state law.
Alternative Options:
Construction materials testing is required by state law. Thus, alternatives include issuing a purchase order for similar services to a different vendor or cancelling this construction project.
