Background and Discussion:
The AARP Community Challenge is a grant program to make communities more livable for people of all ages. The Flagship Grant offers funding for increasing digital connections and enhancing digital literacy skills of residents. With this funding, Universal Services Office of Broadband intends to fund training for the Digital Navigators, i.e. train the trainers, to increase digital literacy skills of Harris County residents. These efforts will help bridge the digital divide in Harris County.
