Background and Discussion:
Harris County Universal Services (HCUS) identified a gap in County's technology asset management in the year 2023. This gap was confirmed through the 5 year financial plan analysis. With approval of Commissioners Court on December 10, 2024, and in partnership with Office of the County Administrator (OCA) and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), HCUS is working with Boston Consulting Group (BCG) to develop an Enterprise Technology Asset Management Program (ETAM) to optimize IT spend, implement technology asset lifecycle management, enhance cost optimization, improve employee experience, and strengthen cybersecurity. The presentation is expected to provide an overview of the findings so far through the development of the program.

Expected Impact:
The presentation will provide an overview of the cost reduction, risk mitigation strategy and support for technology management at the County.
