Background and Discussion:
The purpose of this contract is to construct a stormwater detention basin to reduce flood risk along Cypress Creek. This change in contract is needed to complete construction for this project. The contract change adds 8 days for inclement weather to the contract and includes a new item regarding an outfall structure, which will increase the project cost by $16,671.73.
Expected Impact:
This change will allow the contractor to construct the project so that Harris County can realize intended flood risk reduction benefits.
Alternative Options:
