Background and Discussion:
On the June 25, 2024, Commissioners Court approved budget offsets of $6M for the District Attorney's Office and $86K for Probate Court #5 due to non-compliance with the Standard Operating Procedure for Budget Proposals. Since a new District Attorney and Probate Court Judge were installed on January 1, 2025, OMB requests approval to restore a prorated funding in the amount of $4,509,003 and $64,568, respectively, for the remaining three quarters of the fiscal year.

OMB will increase the overall budget of the District Attorney's Office by $4,509,003, and the budget of Probate Court #5 by $64,568.
