Background and Discussion:
Asphaltic concrete and subgrade rehabilitation of various roads throughout Harris County Precinct 3 including but not limited to Crosby Lynchburg Road, Main Street from I-10 to Thorn Street Northside (2.5 Miles), Plum Grove Road from East of FM 1485, Westbound Right Hand Turn Lane to Liberty County line (2.25 Miles).
Expected Impact:
This agreement will allow the firm to conduct field and laboratory testing on soil, concrete, asphalt and various other construction materials to ensure the material's compliance with Harris County Engineering Department's adopted standards and specifications as required by state law.
Alternative Options:
Construction materials testing is required by state law. Thus, alternatives include issuing a purchase order for similar services to a different vendor or cancelling this construction project.
