Background and Discussion:
On October 08, 2024, Commissioners Court accepted a total of $2,273,163 in FY 2024 Port Security Grant
Program funds. Out of that amount, the Harris County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) has been awarded $20,440 for
maritime security risk mitigation in accordance with Investment Justification No. 3. The total award of
$20,440 consists of $15,330 in FY 2024 PSGP grant funds with a match of $5,110 from the Houston Ship Channel Security District.

This grant will provide funding to complete the program priorities that will buy down risks associated with PSGP Homeland Security guidelines.
