Background and Discussion:

This project includes the reconstruction of Holderrieth Road from State Highway 249 to 850 feet west of Hufsmith-Kohrville Road. Reconstruction includes an upgrade of the roadway from a two-lane asphalt road with open ditches to a 4-lane concrete curb and gutter boulevard with a 32-foot raised median.

Temporary modification to the traffic signal was required to allow for the signal heads to better align with the traffic pattern. Also, the proposed solution of removing and relocating of fence will eliminate the installation of extended curb and 6" sidewalk. This change will save significant amount to Harris County. This change order is intended to compensate the contractor for the additional work.
