Background and Discussion:
Project was for a 4-lane asphalt boulevard construction on Clay Road going from the existing 2 lanes to 4 with medians and appropriate drainage. This change order includes additional striping that was not included in the original bid and traffic signal loops for Clay at Peek that had to be reinstalled after all asphalt was put down. The signal did not exist at the time the plans were drawn so the work was not included in the original scope and was an additional work item. There were also extensive overruns in the project. The final overrun dollar amount was for $457,082.39.

Expected Impact:
Changes allow for us to pay the contractor for the additional work performed and close the Purchase Order.

Alternative Options:
Without approval the contractor will not be paid, and the project purchase order will remain open.
