Background and Discussion:
The North Lake Houston Parkway Bridge at West Canal, west of Aqueduct Road, was constructed in 1955. The two-lane bridge is currently in structurally deficient condition. The bridge replacement is scheduled to be let in January 2027 under the federal Off-System Bridge Program administered by the TxDOT. The total bridge replacement cost estimate is $580,800. The required County match amount is $58,080, which is 10% of the total cost.
