Background and Discussion:
This is a Partnership Bond Project with the City of LaPorte. The city will provide up to 25% of the Project Costs under a partnership arrangement. Binkley & Barfield, Inc. (BBI) was contracted by the Harris County Flood Control District (HCFCD) to provide engineering services related to improvements along a portion of HCFCD Channel Unit F101-06-00 (F101-06). This project is in the 2nd quartile of the prioritization framework.

Expected Impact:
Upon finalization of the Interlocal Agreement, the Flood Control District will move into the final design stage of this project to reduce flood risk in the area.

Alternative Options:
The alternative should this ILA not be completed is that the Flood Control District could not proceed to the final design phase of this project. Flood risk in the project area would remain the same.
