Background and Discussion:
All-electronic tolling systems are significantly safer, more efficient, and less costly to manage than staffed toll plazas. HCTRA's investment in all-electronic tolling will save lives, prevent crashes and injuries, and reduce property damage. As part of the Barrier-Free HCTRA Program, pathway crossings will occur over or under UPRR facilities, and these funds will cover the engineering costs for review of these facilities.

This reimbursement agreement is per the August 29, 2023 Court approved agreement with UPRR regarding engineering reviews.

Expected Impact:
This will allow for the continuation of fiber services.

Alternative Options:
No other recommended services for this identified need.
