Background and Discussion:
DEEO would like to amend the amount originally requested for Fiscal Year 2025 to the amount of $25,000.00. We originally requested $5,000.00 for the fiscal year which will not be enough to cover the full year. DEEO continues to host outreach events such as community-based meetings, outreach programs, conferences, and initiatives to reach the community and develop relationships for Early Childhood Initiatives (ECI) programs. ECI will continue to expand outreach in the coming year and will require additional funds for light refreshments, food, and related items. The items will be purchased utilizing flex funding from October 1, 2024, through September 30, 2025.
Expected Impact:
This approval will allow the opportunity for ECI to continue outreach events and expand opportunities to connect and engage with the community and other stakeholders.
