Background and Discussion:
On February 27th, 2024, Commissioners Court approved the countywide bilingual pay policy to provide standardization and pay equity among employees with similar language skills. As part of the FY25 budget process, OMB budgeted the expense centrally to be transferred to departments based on data provided by HR.
This marks the first transfer for those individuals certified this past spring and summer, and as more employees are certified OMB will make supplemental transfers on a quarterly basis.
