Background and Discussion:
Harris County Engineering Department (HCED) received a request from Precinct 3 to manage the study, design, and construction of the Patiowoods subdivision reconstruction project within Harris County. Reconstruction will provide new rigid pavement with rollover curb, possible 4' sidewalks, and appropriate drainage features. The scope of this project includes drainage analysis, preparation of street alignment and typical sections and possible 4' sidewalk, preparation of construction estimate, preparation of utility conflict list, provide exhibits/renderings for public engagement, environmental, survey, and geotechnical tasks.
Expected Impact:
To provide Precinct 3 with professional engineering study and design services for the reconstruction of Patiowoods Subdivision and annex the reconstruction of Cloister Dr. to the Precinct road log. This project is funded by the 2022 Bond.
Alternative Options:
Without this project, the annexation of the reconstructed Cloister Dr. in Patiowoods Subdivision will not be realized as requested by Precinct 3.
