Background and Discussion:
The project area is approximately 105 acres in Southwestern Harris County within Precinct 2 inside the City of Friendswood limits at Clear Creek Watershed. Project is bounded by Dixie Farm Road to the North and Clear Creek Channel (A100-00-00) to the West and South, and Beamer Road to the East. This project is the partnership project between the City of Friendswood, Galveston County, Galveston Consolidated Drainage District and Harris County Flood Control District. The overall objective of this project is to reduce the overall peak flows and decrease the water surface elevation along Clear Creek Channel (A100-00-00). Three alternatives were evaluated.
Expected Impact:
Provide design, bidding, and construction phase services for the project. The alternative 2 removed 87 flooded structures from the floodplain and removed 2,644 structures flooding depth for a 100-year level of service.
