Background and Discussion:
On May 18, 2024, Harris County received notification of its jurisdiction's Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 allocations for the Office of Community Planning and Development's (CPD) formula programs: Community Development Block Grants (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME), and Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG). The allocation amount in CDBG, HOME and ESG totaled to $21,090,917.80. On August 6, 2024, Harris County Commissioners Court approved the Housing and Community Development's submission of the 2024-2028 Consolidated Plan and Program Year 2024 (PY2024) Annual Action Plan (AAP) beginning October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025, to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
